Want to be the Quentin Blake to our Roald Dahl? We certainly hope so!
Every image can help us tell a story, there's no reason that image can't come from the world around us.
Watercolour, landscape, abstract, impressionist, and more. We'd love to see it.
Maybe we weren't as comprehensive as we hoped. Simply put, if you can see your work featuring in a book or a magazine alongside a story, why not send it our way?
You have to be able to provide us with a genuine digital image of your submission (no photos of artwork, please).
To start with, send one or two samples of your artwork which you feel best demonstrates what you can do to firstname.lastname@example.org
We'll keep your details on file and should we feel we have a story suited to your style, we'll be in touch.
If we don't feel your style is suitable, we'll let you know. We won't keep you hanging on.
When we have a story for you, we'll send you an early draft to read to give you as much time as possible to work with.
At times the turnaround will be tight, but we'll be clear up front with you, and if you don't think you'll be able to manage it, we'll try our best to find a solution.
We're saving the best for last! We're also looking for artists to produce cover images for our issues.
Your work will be distributed worldwide, and you'll receive full credits for all artwork that you provide. You'll also retain all rights to your work!
Working to a brief and a deadline is a great experience for all artists, but especially those wanted to work in book illustration.
At this moment in time, no. We're simply not able to. But one of our key aims to is pay for everything we publish, so trust that we're working towards this.
